Welcome to The Naroth Narrative! I’m Dr. Reezah Naroth, a passionate medical doctor exploring the intersection of healthcare, social justice, and personal growth.

 

Growing up in South Africa as a queer, coloured person, I’ve always felt compelled to question the norms and structures that foster prejudice and inequality in our society. My journey through medical school and internship has only deepened my drive to understand the complexities within our healthcare system, as well as the broader social challenges that hinder quality of life for so many. Having witnessed far too much suffering, I am moved to reflect on—and work toward addressing—the circumstances we find ourselves in.

 

Through my writing, I hope to illuminate the challenges and victories of practicing medicine in South Africa, while sharing insights from my personal journey. My aim is to spark conversation, inspire change, and build a supportive community dedicated to a more equitable and inclusive healthcare system.
